Surprises!

OK, the McBroom and Faust family (cause we are including the grandparents) are in the works of a big surprise for our one year post transplant. Now we don't have our transplant date or anything useful really at the moment...still waiting!!!! But we know it will be (God willing if urology ok's it) late summer, early fall tenatively September is what we are guestimating based on my other sources that have dealt with the same hospital. So we are planning a Christmas surprise. Santa's gonna drop a bomb next year people! :)
As for other much smaller surprises, I am working on my mother's birthday presents. We had family photos taken about month ago and I have been working on those to get them ready. Ordering 8x10's, 5x7's and various wallets along with picture frames. Here's a sneak peak:

Of course I am not showing the pictures she will receive...just some of the ones that were taken. I'll post the absolute cutest pic of the brothers when she gets hers. It just makes me smile.
Happy week to all!

You have a beautiful family!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and offering some hope and support! I'm so sorry to hear that your precious little one has had to endure so much! I pray that he will soon be well!!!

Since you have been through even so much more than we have, do you know if there is an online support group or forum for mothers of kidney babies to come together and discuss our baby's health conditions?

Love the pictures, especially the one of you and Matthew on the train track - the lighting is just really neat. I guess there's still no news today or you would have said it; no news for me either.

Can I have the recipe for Saturday night's chicken? :-)

I want to thank you so much for sharing your families trials and joy! I know this is just the beginning for us and there will be a lot more tears to come. Reading your experiences gives me some comfort. I am so happy for Matthew that he has made it this far and is getting ready for a transplant. I pray my Santino is a fighter like Matthew.
God Bless!

Hi mama, I saw a post from you on Christina's blog and I too am a mom of a dialysis baby. He's on peritoneal and has been since 5 months. He's 16 months now and will be activated in Aug, God willing. I have a group online for moms of dialysis babies--most are on peri but there is one mama/baby on hemo. We would love to have you. Just send me a note with your email address and I'll send you an invite. It's a small group but a great one for support.

I will be praying for your little one as I do all of our dialysis friends.

To anon. poster. Thank you so much for your suggestions. :) However in your suggestion, the "surprise" was revealed and it is just much too soon to let it out of the bag yet...for fear that is ALL I will ever talk about to everyone. ;)
I'll look into what you posted. Extra rooms are always nice. Thanks again!
